TSES PTA Movie Night

Please join your TSES PTA for a free movie night outside under the stars!

On Friday 9/16/16 we will be watching the movie Minions on the field behind the school.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs and some snacks if you choose. Arrive by 7 pm. The movie will begin at sunset, around 7:15pm.  This event is FREE!

Additionally, come EARLY (6pm) and sample some of the new lunch offerings and sample the new fruit and veggie bar! #LetsRethinkLunch

Flu Clinic at TSES!

Consents went home last Friday for the Flu Clinic being held on Tuesday October 25, 2016. As stated in the information letter that accompanied the consent form, all consents should be returned by Friday September 9, 2016.  This year the clinic will give the vaccine by injection and not the mist. If you complete the consent paperwork and your child receives a flu vaccine from another provider prior to the date of the clinic (Oct. 25th), please notify the heath room so their consent can be pulled. Thank you for participating in this event to help us keep your child healthy and prevent the spread of the flu! If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Dickerson or Mrs. Cook in the health room.

TSES Magnets:
The TSES Magnet is a great way to show your support for TSES & support the many programs offered by the PTA. Magnets are only $5.00 each and will be available for sale at most school events. Please show your school spirit and purchase for your vehicles or refrigerators!

Non-Event Fundraiser:

We are not selling anything, merely requesting you generous donations to support the PTA – This non-event began on September 11th and will continue throughout the school year! We are appreciative of any sum you are willing to donate. If every family donated $35 per child, we would be done with fundraising for the whole year! Your donation is 100% tax deductible.

Girls on the Run®

Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls age eight to thirteen years old. The programs combine training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. The girls will meet after-school twice a week for 10 weeks with the season ending 5k to be held on December 3rd in Howard County, MD. TSES will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:40-4:40 starting the week of September 18th. Green Apple Day of Service

6:30pm Internet Safety Presentation and General Membership Meeting to immediately follow.

Thanksgiving Food, Toy and Clothing Drive

The TSES PTA is collecting for our food, toy, and winter coat, hats, and glove drive to benefit TSES families in need. Please help us reach our goal through your generous donations.

Food Drive…November 2-19, 2015

  The food drive requests the following non-perishable items from each grade level team:

 

Pre-K: Cranberry Sauce, Canned Yams and Sweet Potatoes

Kindergarten:  Stuffing Mix, Instant Potatoes and Apple Juice

          1st Grade:  Canned Green Beans, Corn, and Carrots         

2nd Grade: Canned Gravy, Bisquick® and Cornbread Mix

3rd Grade: Dry Cereal and Applesauce

4th Grade: Cake Mix & Frosting, Muffin Mix

5th Grade: Cereal, Chicken Broth, and Bottled Juice

 

Items can be sent in with your child in bags labeled, “food drive” and placed in the Thanksgiving Food Drive basket located in each team.  Gift card donations from Target, Wal-Mart or other grocery stores are to be labeled, “Thanksgiving Food Drive,” and given to Lauran Hoffman in the front office.

 Winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves will be collected for boys and girls ages four through eleven and adults. Please make certain they are clean and in good wearing condition


Food and winter clothing will be distributed, November 23-24,2015.

Thank you for giving generously and supporting our TSES Thanksgiving Food and Clothing Drive.


Toy Drive…December 1-18, 2015

Please provide new, unwrapped toys, ages Pre-K to 5th grade.

  Toys and clothing may be placed in the large box in the front entrance of the school.

  Toys will be distributed beginning December 21,2015. 

  Thank you for your support and providing Holiday Cheer for our TSES Families.
